Anger Issues

Did you know there is a relationship between your emotions and your organs? If your liver isn’t functioning well, you won’t be handling your stress well either.

Mood swings, irritability, frustration, impatience, resentment, headaches, anger, or losing a loved one, all can affect your liver. It can cause chronic fatigue and digestive issues. I know this all too well.

Most of us have heard your eyes are the window to your soul. And according to Traditional Chinese Medicine, there is a connection between your vision and your liver. Think of blurry vision, floaters, or dry eyes. In extreme cases, yellowing around the whites of one’s eyes.

Bloodshot eyes are witnessed with lack of sleep or a weekend of lots of alcohol. The buildup of toxins our liver processes not only includes alcohol but smoking, chemicals, processed sugar, fatty foods, carbonated and caffeinated drinks. We didn’t even touch on medications, which is processed via your liver.

Your liver is essential. In fact, if you can cut part of it out, it grows back. Your liver weighs between three to four pounds. It also performs over 500 functions.

Our liver stores fats, vitamins, and minerals. It also changes fat-soluble substances into water-soluble ones. I’ve always said God put dandelions everywhere for a reason. Dandelions detox our liver. Sadly, we have been programmed to kill them with weed killer. By the 1990s, Roundup was the king of herbicides. Today we are finding glyphosate, an active herbicide ingredient in Roundup, in people’s urine.

The bottom line is if you’re not taking care of your liver, your emotions will scream with irritability, frustration, impatience, and resentment. All aspects of anger. If this is relatable, It’s time for a detox. Still not convinced?

Pretend something catches your breath. You just realized something is off. Yet, you are doing your best to remain calm. You feel your emotions bubbling up and your blood is running hot. Your heart is starting to pound, and you begin to shake. If you open your mouth, you know what you are about to say is unretractable. Instead, you swallow up your chemical emotions. Your liver just did that for you. This is one reason why your liver loves B vitamins. They are calming.
